After his retirement from an extended career in Major League Baseball, Jasonâ??s passion for a better light became more than just a garage hobby when he started the search for the best light option while building his Polaris Ranger. When introduced to new innovative forward projecting LED technology, Jason realized this technology was a game changer in the offroad lighting industry. Everyone at the time thought the idea of a square and rectangular light would not fly. Despite the initial reactions of some around him, he began the challenge of building the company. In 2006, Jason turned his hobby into a business which later became Rigid Industries LED Lighting. In 2008, two partners came aboard and the three of them purchased the LED light bar company outright and began JST Performance, Inc. Jason Christiansen, Taylor Anderson and Seth Anderson were all friends who shared the thrill of speed, passion and the need to kick up some dirt, and were now on a mission to make Rigid Industries a household name. In the early days you would see each of them building, packaging, selling and shipping the LED light bars. On any given day they did, and still do, have that hands on approach that ensures Rigidâ??s quality and designs stay a world leader in LED lighting technology. Later In 2008, the partners brought in Steve Adams who has the extensive engineering background and who is an avid offroad enthusiast himself. With the love of the sport, all the partners went to the Sand Sport Super Show in Southern California and quickly realized they had something very, very special. The people at the event appreciated their new technology and began to understand it. As the company grew, Jason, Taylor, Seth and Steve focused on manufacturing, distribution, and sales. To help accomplish these goals, they brought on a fifth partner, Dave Davis, who helped take Rigid Industries to a whole new level in the sales department and develop a worldwide distribution model and today distributes in 43 countries around the world. In 2013, Rigid Industries added a second, much larger manufacturing plant in Gilbert, AZ and now has over 250 loyal employees. With the growth, Inc. Magazine recognized Rigid Industries as the 150th Fastest Growing Private Company in the entire United States for 2013 and 316th in 2014 and 1st in LED lighting manufacturing.
